Rasa Jankauskienė (phD in Education) is a senior researcher at the Institute of Sport Science and Innovations at the Lithuanian Sports University and at the Health Research and Innovation Science Centre of Klaipėda University and professor at Lithuanian Sports University.
For three decades, she has led a scientific research group investigating health-enhancing physical activity, with a focus on body image, motivation, mindfulness-based approaches to physical activity, and prevention of dysfunctional eating and exercise behaviours across diverse populations. More recently, her work has expanded to include physical activity policy research. She has experience in international collaborative research and educational initiatives and has led multiple studies funded by the Lithuanian Research Council. Her academic activities include teaching, supervising doctoral students, contributing to national health and sport policy development, and actively disseminating research findings through academic, professional, and public engagement activities. In addition to her scholarly work, she has been involved in study management, curriculum development, and institutional development within the university sector. She is the founder of the
Lithuanian Academy of Sports, a non-governmental organization and school for non-formal education in sport and physical activity.

Miglė Bacevičienė is a medical doctor and PhD, has been actively involved in public health research since 2001 and obtained her PhD in Epidemiology and Public Health in 2005. For more than a decade, she contributed to the planning and implementation of studies focused on cardiovascular disease prevention and participated in population-based health screenings. Since 2013, her research activities have concentrated on body image, physical education, physical activity, and sport-related topics in a context of public health. Dr. Bacevičienė has extensive experience in a wide range of research methodologies, study design and advanced statistical data analysis. Miglė is extensively involved in teaching and supervising bachelor, master and PhD students and provides consultations on study design and statistical analysis for researchers of different experience. Dr. Bacevičienė has substantial international research expertise and has served as an invited expert for the EU HORIZON Cancer Mission, EU4Health, Horizon Europe Cluster 6, the Lithuanian Innovation Agency, and other programmes. She also acts as the national contact for
Lithuania at the Global Observatory of Physical Activity. Overall, Dr. Bacevičienė is an experienced researcher with more than two decades of sustained involvement in public health research at both national and international levels and is the author of approximately 80 publications indexed in the Web of Science database. Vaiva Balčiūnienė is a lecturer at the Lithuanian Sports University and holds a PhD in Social Sciences (Education). Her academic research focuses on the psychosocial aspects of inclusive physical activity and the promotion of healthy lifestyles, including body image. She has experience in quantitative research, particularly in the development and validation of psychometric instruments and the implementation of interventions.
Currently, she is a postdoctoral researcher in the field of public health, where she conducts research on mental health and well-being. She actively contributes to the dissemination and translation of research evidence through teaching, student supervision, collaboration with schools and professionals, and participation in national and international scientific activities.

Renata Rutkauskaitė, PhD (Social Sciences), is an Associate Professor at Lithuanian Sports University with more than 15 years of academic experience. She currently serves as Director of the Bachelor’s and Master’s degree programmes in Physical Education and Sport. Her teaching covers physical education theory, lesson didactics, behaviour-change approaches to physical activity, and innovation in physical education practice. Dr. Rutkauskaitė’s research and professional outreach focus on physical activity, physical fitness, and health promotion among school-aged children and adolescents. Her academic work is strongly informed by over 12 years of practical experience in a sports school, as well as extensive involvement in national and international research, development, and capacity-building initiatives. Her contributions include leadership in large-scale studies examining trends in pupils’ physical fitness, development of evidence-based methodological guidelines, and creation of practical tools supporting physical education quality, schoolyard design, and movement-friendly learning environments. This work has supported the integration of research evidence into educational practice and school policy across national and international contexts. Dr. Rutkauskaitė is involved in international efforts to monitor and evaluate physical activity levels among children and youth, contributing to global surveillance and policy-relevant reporting initiatives.

Simona Pajaujiene, Ph.D. (Social Sciences, Education) is an Associate Professor at the Department of Coaching Science, Lithuanian Sport University (LSU), where she delivers courses related to health enhancing physical activity and personal training. She holds a Master Degree in Public Health with specialization Health & Fitness. She is a programme leader (academic coordinator) for several study programmes and modules. Her research interests focus in the areas of Health Education, Physical Activity, Body Image and Health-Related Lifestyle, Competences of Exercise Specialists, Fitness Testing, Promotion of Healthy Lifestyle among children, adults, elderly and special population (Pregnancy and Postpartum). S. Pajaujiene was a Visiting International Professor at Latvian Academy of Sport Education (Riga, Latvia) and University of Physical Education and Sport (Gdansk, Poland) (2020-2021). Her experience in the fitness sector is around 30 years. Simona is an active promoter of healthy and active lifestyle, sport science through the radio, TV shows, articles, video. She is a guest speaker at different international sport, leisure activity and public health events, presenter of health & fitness industry across Lithuania and abroad and annually holds teaching visits to different European Universities. She was a member of EuropeActive’s (Brussels) Professionals Standards committee (2014-2019) and until now participates in several technical expert groups (TEG) for European standards creation. Simona is an active promoter of healthy lifestyle, sport science through the radio, TV shows, articles, video. She is a guest speaker at different international sport, leisure activity and public health events, presenter of health & fitness industry across Lithuania and abroad. Simona has a huge experience with participation (as National Coordinator) in several European Projects and is constantly involved in training and qualification improvement courses for exercise professionals, PE teachers, physiotherapist, public health specialists. Simona is also a co-founder and programme director of EuropeActive’s accredited vocational training school ‘ActiveTraining’. She is a certified Advanced Health and Exercise Specialist, Personal Trainer and Group Fitness Instructor (EREPS L3-6), Healthy Lifestyle Promoter (EREPS L2), ACE International Master Trainer (American Council on Exercise) and also trainer with broad specialization, having passed from many roles in the fitness industry (body and mind, indoor cycling, TRX, aqua fitness, functional training, outdoor activities, etc.). Simona is Flow Coach and Nirvana Educational Specialist, also pioneer and promotor of this method in Lithuania.
